Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in partnership with Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management: Central Nodal Agency for Sustainable Tourism (CNA-ST), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI) organized the North-East Regional Workshop on “Developing Sustainable and Responsible Tourist Destinations” in line with the National Strategy for Sustainable tourism and five key priority areas under G20 presidency on 28 April, 2023 in Guwahati, Assam. The Regional Workshop is aimed to create awareness and build capacity of various tourism stakeholders and prepare them for the implementation of Sustainable tourism practices in the country. The Ministry presented the initiative of 'Travel for LiFE, STCI certification and Swadesh Darshan 2.0. It served as a platform for the stakeholders to interact and provide feedback on the current initiatives of Ministry of Tourism.
